“It was very difficult to take my personal documents out of the temporarily occupied territory. So now it is important for me not to lose the information they contain”. This is how Oleksandr, an IDP from the Berdiansk district of Zaporizhzhia oblast, explained his appeal to the <\/em><\/strong>NGO “STEP”<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man asked for help digitizing his work record book because he did not know how or where to go.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on his experience during the resettlement, Oleksandr was afraid that if the document was lost or destroyed, he would have no information confirming his work experience as a doctor and would have to resolve the issue of calculating his insurance period in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anton Stasik<\/strong>, a lawyer with the NGO “STEP”, advised Oleksandr and contacted the officials of the municipal medical institution where the man worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The employment record book was digitized through the electronic cabinet of the Pension Fund of Ukraine using Oleksandr’s electronic digital signature. In addition, we helped him create an electronic account with the Pension Fund and an electronic digital signature with the bank, <\/em>says Anton Stasik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasizes that paper work record books will become obsolete only in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Until then, it is better to keep this paper document, even if it has already been digitized, <\/em>the lawyer advises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
